Dual Gold 6126 compute density

This Dell PowerEdge R740 packs two twelve-core Intel Gold 6126 processors running at 2.6 GHz with 19.25 MB cache each. The 2U rack chassis targets virtualization hosts, database nodes and compute clusters that need high thread counts in limited rack space. It ships new with 128 GB of DDR4 memory across eight 16 GB modules.

H730P RAID and four 10K SAS drives

The H730P controller manages the four installed 1.2 TB 10K SAS drives in hardware RAID, delivering consistent IOPS for transactional workloads. Four empty 2.5-inch bays remain available for capacity expansion without adding enclosures. iDRAC9 Enterprise provides full out-of-band management including virtual console and remote firmware updates.

Redundant 1100 W power and flexible I/O

Dual 1100 W power supplies maintain uptime during a module failure or circuit loss. The network daughter card supplies two 10 Gb RJ45 ports and two 1 Gb RJ45 ports for segmented traffic. Up to eight PCIe Gen 3 slots support additional NICs, HBAs or accelerators. Rails, bezel and power cords are included for immediate rack integration.
