This 2U rack server targets organisations that need maximum drive count and dual-socket performance in a compact chassis. Twenty-four 2.5-inch bays and two Xeon Silver 4310 processors deliver 24 cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.3 GHz turbo for virtualization, databases and analytics workloads.

Enterprise chassis and connectivity

Redundant hot-swap 1400-watt platinum power supplies and ready rails simplify deployment in standard racks. A Broadcom 5720 quad-port 1GbE OCP 3.0 card provides four network links while iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables full out-of-band management. The PERC H755 controller with 8GB NV cache supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the SATA backplane.

Upgrade path and fit

The configuration replaces earlier 14G or single-socket platforms where drive slots or memory channels were limiting factors. Thirty-two DDR4 slots allow growth to 128 GB with 16 GB modules today and higher densities later. Buyers who require 3.5-inch drives, NVMe U.2 bays or more than two processors should evaluate larger chassis options.
