The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4314 processors running at 2.4 GHz with 16 cores each. It ships with 256 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across eight 32 GB modules and includes a PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache. Twenty-four 1.92 TB SATA SSDs provide high-density flash storage in a 24-bay 2.5-inch chassis. The system targets virtualization, database and analytics workloads that demand large memory and storage capacity in a compact rack footprint.

Sustained multi-core throughput

Dual Silver 4314 CPUs deliver 32 physical cores with a 3.4 GHz turbo frequency for burst performance. The 256 GB DDR4 2666 MHz memory subsystem supports memory-heavy applications such as in-memory databases and large virtual machine fleets. The H755 controller manages 24 enterprise SSDs in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60 configurations, maintaining consistent IOPS under heavy mixed read-write loads. PCIe Gen4 lanes and a dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 network adapter keep data moving between storage, compute and network without short-term throttling.

Redundant cooling and power

Two 1400 W platinum-efficiency hot-swap power supplies provide N+1 redundancy for continuous operation. The 2U chassis uses managed fan curves that ramp airflow based on inlet temperature and component load, keeping CPU and drive temperatures stable during extended runs. Acoustic output remains within typical data-centre limits for a 2U platform. iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables remote thermal monitoring, power capping and firmware updates without host OS involvement.
