The Dell PowerEdge R930 is a 4U rack server equipped with four Intel Xeon E7-8867 v4 processors, each running at 2.4 GHz with 16 cores. It includes 384 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 48 modules. Twenty-four 960 GB SATA SSDs are installed and managed by a PERC H330 controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and 50. Four 1100 W platinum power supplies, iDRAC8 Enterprise, quad-port networking and rails complete the package.

Suited For High-Density Compute

This server suits organisations consolidating memory-intensive workloads such as in-memory databases, virtualisation clusters or ERP platforms within a single 4U chassis. Buyers who need more than four processors or who require front-accessible NVMe PCIe SSDs should look at a different platform. Environments that depend on GPU acceleration will not be served by the integrated Matrox G200 graphics. The maximum installed processor count of four is fixed by the chassis design.
