The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors running at 2.2 GHz with a 2.9 GHz turbo frequency. Each CPU provides 12 cores for a total of 24 processing threads. The system includes 128 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across eight modules. A PERC H730P storage controller with 2 GB cache manages RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Two 750 W platinum power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power.

Virtualisation hosts and database nodes

This server suits organisations running VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V or Proxmox VE clusters that need dense 2.5-inch drive capacity and dual-socket compute. The 16-bay chassis with four included trays supports SAS and SATA drives for large storage arrays. Buyers who require more than four drive trays or integrated 10 GbE will need to add those separately. The iDRAC 8 Express module provides remote management for lights-out administration.
