Server Identity

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server built for virtualization, database and file-storage workloads. It ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4 processors running at 2.1GHz with 3.3GHz turbo across 18 cores each, plus 32GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory in four modules. The PERC H730P controller with 2GB cache supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap trays are included for SAS or SATA drives.

Thermals and Power

Dual 750-watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide hot-swap redundancy for continuous operation. The 5U chassis allows generous airflow across the dual-socket motherboard and memory population, keeping processor temperatures stable under sustained multi-threaded loads. Fan speeds scale with thermal demand, so acoustic output remains moderate in a typical server-room environment.

Build and Connectivity

The rack-mount frame uses Dell 13G drive trays and integrates a dual-port gigabit Ethernet adapter for baseline networking. iDRAC 8 Express gives out-of-band remote management with Lifecycle Controller for firmware updates and hardware inventory. Front bezel and ready rails are not included, so plan for rack mounting hardware separately. Twelve DDR4 slots support up to 384GB total capacity for future expansion.
