The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server designed for virtualization, database hosting, and software-defined storage. It ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 5120 processors, each running at 2.2 GHz with 14 cores and a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across four modules. It targets IT teams building private cloud infrastructure or business application hosts.

16-bay 2.5-inch hot-swap limit with H730P RAID

Storage expands through sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays that accept SAS, SATA, and SSD media. The Dell PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60 plus pass-through mode. No drives are installed, so capacity and performance depend entirely on the disks you add. The 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA interface sets the throughput ceiling for every bay.

Dual Xeon Gold 5120 with 1 TB memory ceiling

Two sockets are populated with Gold 5120 CPUs and the board supports a maximum of two processors total. Sixteen DDR4 slots allow up to 1 TB of registered ECC memory when fully populated. Integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet and iDRAC 9 Express handle network and remote management. Redundant 750 W platinum power supplies are fitted. Front bezel and rack rails are not included.
