The GIGABYTE B550M AORUS ELITE AX rev 1.3 fits AMD Ryzen 5000 Series, 5000 G-Series, 4000 G-Series and 3000 Series processors in an AM4 socket. Four DDR4 slots accept up to 128 GB of dual-channel memory at 3200 MT/s with ECC and non-ECC unbuffered DIMMs. A single M.2 connector takes 2242, 2260, 2280 or 22110 drives while four SATA 6Gb/s ports handle additional storage. Realtek GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax and Bluetooth 5.3 provide wired and wireless networking.
Straightforward installation with BIOS flashback
The micro-ATX layout aligns with standard standoffs and the 24-pin plus 8-pin power connectors sit at the usual edges. Q-Flash Plus lets you update the BIOS using only a USB stick and standby power so a new CPU can be supported before the first boot. The lone M.2 slot shares bandwidth with the chipset PCIe 3.0 x4 slot; populating both can reduce the second slot to x1 speeds.
