LGA 1150 Z97 ATX motherboard

The GA-Z97-D3H is an ATX board built around the Intel Z97 chipset for LGA 1150 processors. It accepts Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron CPUs from the 4th and 5th generations. Four DDR3 slots support dual-channel memory up to 32 GB.

DDR3 memory and storage limits

Memory runs at standard speeds of 1333 and 1600 MHz with overclocked options up to 3100 MHz. Six SATA 6 Gb/s ports and one SATA Express connector handle 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives. A single M.2 slot is present for additional storage. RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 are supported on the SATA array.

Expansion layout and rear connectivity

One full-length PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot and a second x16 slot wired at x4 allow dual-graphics configurations with AMD CrossFire. Two PCI Express x1 slots and three legacy PCI slots fill the remaining expansion space. Rear I/O includes HDMI output for processors with integrated graphics and USB 3.0 ports. The board uses solid capacitors and includes an I/O shield.
