The GIGABYTE X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE motherboard accepts Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors in the AM5 socket. Four 288-pin slots support dual-channel DDR5 up to 256 GB with EXPO and XMP 3.0 profiles. The board delivers PCIe 5.0 graphics and storage lanes plus dual USB4 Type-C ports for high-speed peripherals.
Confirm your processor generation matches the supported Ryzen 7000, 8000 or 9000 series before purchase. Select DDR5 modules from the qualified speed list ranging from 4800 to 8000 MT/s. Check that the primary PCIe 5.0 x16 slot shares bandwidth with the M2B_CPU and M2C_CPU connectors and that the chipset x4 slot disables when M2D_SB is populated.
A 16+2+2 phase digital VRM with advanced thermal armour regulates voltage for multi-core workloads without throttling. VRM and M.2 Thermal Guard L heatsinks dissipate heat during extended compile, render or gaming sessions. The 2.5 GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 7 controller maintain stable throughput under continuous network traffic.
