HighPoint Technologies, Inc. SSD7105 4-Port M.2 NVMe RAID Controller

SKU CH-40EF-9TG7N

A bootable RAID controller that connects up to four M.2 NVMe SSDs with support for RAID 0, 1 and 10 across Windows, Linux and macOS

  • Bootable RAID 0, 1, 10 on Windows and Linux
  • Platform independent design works with off-the-shelf M.2 NVMe SSDs
  • Supports up to 32TB total capacity per controller
  • Compatible with Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016 through 2022
  • Runs on Linux kernel 3.10+ and macOS 10.13 to Monterey 12.x

Four-Port NVMe RAID Controller

The HighPoint SSD7105 adds four M.2 slots to a server or workstation. It presents a single bootable volume to Windows, Linux or macOS without proprietary drives. Administrators who need dense, redundant storage on a standard PCIe slot will find it fits directly into existing 64-bit operating-system deployments.

Up To 32TB With RAID 0, 1, 10

Four off-the-shelf M.2 SSDs combine for a maximum addressable capacity of 32TB per controller. RAID 0 delivers raw bandwidth, RAID 1 mirrors pairs for fault tolerance and RAID 10 balances both. The card does not support RAID 5 or JBOD, so arrays requiring distributed parity or non-RAID passthrough must look elsewhere.

Platform-Independent PCIe Add-In Card

The controller operates independently of chipset or CPU generation, requiring only a compatible PCIe slot and a 64-bit OS kernel 3.10 or newer on Linux. No onboard cooling or external power connectors are described, so airflow and slot power delivery follow the host system’s standard design. macOS support ends at Monterey 12.x, limiting use on newer Apple silicon platforms.
