This 1U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2690 processors at 2.9GHz, each offering 8 cores and 16 threads. It includes 32GB of DDR3 memory across four 8GB modules and supports up to 768GB using 24 DIMM slots with Advanced ECC and Online Spare modes. The unit is aimed at compute-dense workloads that benefit from high core counts in a compact form factor.

PCIe 3.0 expansion limited to two slots

The chassis provides only two PCIe 3.0 expansion slots, one full-height half-length and one low-profile. This restricts the number of additional controllers, network adapters or accelerators that can be installed. The integrated Smart Array P420i with 2GB FBWC handles RAID 0, 1, 1+0, 5 and 5+0 for internal SAS drives, while the 10Gb dual-port SFP+ adapter covers high-speed networking without consuming a slot.

Verify SAS drive caddies and 10Gb SFP+ cabling

No hard drives are included, so 2.5-inch SAS drives and compatible hot-swap caddies must be sourced separately. The 10Gb Ethernet ports use SFP+ transceivers and cables that are not supplied. Two 750W hot-plug power supplies are fitted, but power cord types and rack rail kits should be confirmed against the target enclosure before ordering.
