ProLiant DL380 G9 2U rack server

The HP ProLiant DL380 G9 is a 2U rack server built for data-centre workloads. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2670v3 twelve-core processor running at 2.3GHz and 32GB of DDR4 memory. The chassis supports up to two processors for a total of 24 physical cores. It is suited for virtualisation, database and general compute tasks.

Smart Array P440 RAID with 24 SFF bays

Storage is managed by an HP Smart Array P440 controller with 4GB flash-backed write cache supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. The front panel provides 24 small-form-factor drive bays for 2.5-inch SAS drives; no drives are installed. An optional rear cage can add two more bays. The controller operates at 12Gb/s and 6Gb/s SAS speeds.

Redundant power and Matrox graphics

Dual hot-swap 500W power supplies provide redundancy for continuous operation. Video output is handled by an integrated Matrox G200eH2 chip with 16MB memory, sufficient for console management only. The system includes 24 DIMM slots with a maximum DDR4 capacity of 3TB when both processors are populated. No operating system is included.
