2U rack server with single Xeon E5-2643 v3

The HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 is a 2U rack server supplied with one Intel Xeon E5-2643 v3 six-core processor running at 3.4GHz. It includes 32GB of DDR4 memory and a Matrox G200eH2 graphics controller with 16MB video memory. Two redundant 500W hot-swap power supplies are fitted. The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch small form factor drive bays.

B140i software RAID limited to SATA drives

The onboard B140i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 but operates with SATA drives only. SAS and NVME devices are not supported by this controller. Buyers needing hardware RAID or SAS connectivity must add a separate controller card. The current configuration has no drives installed.

24 DIMM slots allow memory expansion to 3TB

The server has 24 DDR4 DIMM slots, twelve per processor, supporting registered ECC modules up to 64GB each at 2400MT/s. A second Xeon E5-2600 v3 or v4 processor can be added to reach the 36-core maximum. Additional drive cages for up to 24 SFF bays or NVME options fit in the remaining bays. No operating system is included.
