HPE MSA 2062 2U array

The HPE MSA 2062 is a 2U rack storage array built for general-purpose workloads. It ships with 12 x 2.4TB hard drives and 2 x 1.92TB SAS SSDs providing 28.8TB of installed capacity. Dual 12 Gb SAS 4-port controllers deliver redundant connectivity for host servers. The system includes 2 x 580W redundant power supplies for high availability.

Upgrade from direct-attached disks

This array replaces direct-attached storage or older single-controller arrays that lack redundant paths and shared capacity. The jump is worth it when multiple hosts need simultaneous block access or when downtime from a single drive or controller failure is unacceptable. Certified operating systems include Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, VMware vSphere 6.7, Red Hat Linux 8 and SUSE SLES 15.

Capacity headroom and limits

The base unit holds up to 24 SFF drives, scaling raw capacity to 1.77 PB all-SFF or 2.7 PB with mixed SFF and LFF expansion.
