Compact 1U rack server for hybrid workloads

The HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11 is a 1U rack server built for hybrid environments. It ships with dual Xeon Silver 4410y 12-core processors running at 2.00 GHz with 30 MB cache and up to 3.90 GHz turbo. The system includes 256 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory across eight 32 GB modules and 7.68 TB of enterprise SAS 12Gb/s SSD storage on four 1.92 TB drives. Windows Server 2025 Standard with a 16-core licence is bundled, and a rail kit is supplied. Memory and drives are packaged separately and require installation.

Suited for virtualised and physical deployments

This server suits organisations that need dense compute with redundant power and remote management via iLO 6. The embedded four-port 1GbE OCP3 adapter and MR408i-o storage controller with 4 GB cache handle networking and RAID duties. Buyers who require higher core counts per socket, larger memory capacities beyond 256 GB, GPU acceleration, or a tower form factor should evaluate other platforms. The separate installation requirement for memory and drives also means it is not a plug-and-play appliance.

DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory defines capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 256 GB DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory ceiling. With eight 32 GB modules already populating the slots, any workload demanding more than 256 GB of system memory cannot be accommodated on this configuration. The memory type is DDR5 and no other generation is supported.
