The chassis provides four 3.5-inch bays served by an HPE Smart Array P440 PCIe SAS controller that supports both SAS and SATA drives. RAID levels depend on the controller firmware and the number of drives installed; the server ships without drives so you must supply matching SAS or SATA media. Network connectivity is handled by a dual-port 1 GbE 332T adapter, limiting throughput to gigabit speeds unless additional NICs are added in the available PCIe slots.

Verify rack depth power and drive compatibility

Confirm your rack can accommodate the 36-inch depth and that your power distribution units deliver the correct voltage for the dual 500 W supplies. Select SAS or SATA drives in 3.5-inch form factor that are qualified for the P440 controller; unqualified drives may not be recognised or may lack full firmware support. Ensure you have a rail kit if your rack requires one, as it is not included by default.
