General-purpose tower server

The HPE ProLiant ML30 G11 ships as a 4U tower system built around a single Intel Xeon 6315P running at 2.80 GHz with four cores and 12 MB of L3 cache. It arrives with 16 GB of DDR5 memory at 4800 MT/s in one UDIMM slot, leaving room for expansion. The embedded Intel VROC SATA controller manages the installed drives, and a four-port 1 GbE adapter handles network connectivity. Four expansion slots are available for additional cards.

2 TB of 7.2 K SATA storage

Two 1 TB SATA 6 Gbps business-critical hard drives spin at 7.2 K rpm, delivering 2 TB of formatted capacity for general workloads such as file serving, backup targets or light databases. The SATA interface and mechanical media limit sustained throughput and random IOPS compared with solid-state alternatives, so performance will taper off under heavy concurrent access or latency-sensitive applications. The embedded controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 across the four large-form-factor bays.

Single 350 W platinum supply and one standard fan

A single 350 W platinum-rated ATX power supply powers the platform; with only one unit installed there is no redundancy if it fails. One standard hot-swap fan provides airflow through the chassis, and acoustic output will rise as the processor and drives load up. The 350 W ceiling constrains how many additional drives, expansion cards or memory modules can be added before a higher-wattage supply becomes necessary.
