Compact 4U rackmount server chassis

The iStarUSA D-400-6-Black is a 4U rackmount server chassis built from 1.2 mm SECC zinc-coated steel with an aluminium alloy front bezel. It accepts motherboards up to 12 by 10 inches and provides seven expansion slots for add-on cards. The black finish suits standard 19-inch rack environments.

Six 5.25-inch bays enable hot-swap storage

Six external 5.25-inch drive bays combine with two external and two internal 3.5-inch bays for a total of ten drive positions. When paired with a compatible backplane the 5.25-inch bays support hot-swappable SAS or SATA drives for RAID configurations. Front-panel USB 2.0 connectors and a lockable bezel add convenient access and physical security.

Standard PS2 or mini-redundant power only

The chassis supports PS2 and mini-redundant power supplies but does not accommodate other form factors. Cooling relies on a single 80 mm fan with a removable air filter; additional airflow planning is required for dense builds. Temperature and fan monitoring depend on an optional sensor board not included with the chassis.
