The KEHIPI Raspberry Pi 1 Model B+ is a 2014 single-board computer with a 700 MHz Broadcom BCM2835 CPU and 512 MB SDRAM running at 400 MHz. It provides a 10/100 Ethernet RJ45 port, full-size HDMI, four USB 2.0 ports and a micro SD slot. The 40-pin extended GPIO header keeps the first 26 pins compatible with the earlier Model B. Makers and educators use it for basic IoT edge projects and learning.

Sustained load behaviour

Switching regulators replace the linear types used on the Model B, cutting draw by between .5 and 1 W under continuous operation. The dedicated low-noise supply keeps audio cleaner when the CPU and all four USB ports stay active for long periods. Thermal limits of the BCM2835 still throttle the 700 MHz clock if the board runs enclosed without airflow. The 100 Mbps Ethernet link caps network throughput well below modern gigabit expectations.

Installation and common issues

The push-push micro SD socket and aligned USB connectors make assembly straightforward, while four mounting holes secure the board cleanly. Composite video moves to the 3.5 mm jack, so a suitable cable is required for analogue output. The 40-pin GPIO adds 14 new pins, but older 26-pin hats need an adapter or will leave the extra pins unused. Buyers who want more storage than a single micro SD card provides, or who need gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi, should look elsewhere.
