The Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 arrives with Windows 8.1 64-bit pre-installed and a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT650M graphics card. An Intel Core i7-3630QM processor running up to 3.4 GHz works alongside 16 GB of DDR3 memory and a 1 TB solid state drive. The 15.6 inch non-touch display shows 1920x1080 resolution for games and media.

The system draws power through its proprietary AC adapter, so verify the brick and cable are present and undamaged. Three USB 3.0 ports handle peripherals and external storage at 5 Gbps.
