The ThinkPad P53 is a 15.6 inch mobile workstation built around a six-core Intel Core i7-9750H processor that reaches 4.5 GHz. It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 memory and dual storage comprising a 1 TB NVME drive plus a 1 TB 2.5 inch SSD. An NVIDIA Quadro T2000 GPU with 4 GB video memory drives the 1920 x 1080 IPS panel. Linux Mint comes pre-installed.

FHD IPS panel at 72 % colour gamut

The 15.6 inch display uses IPS technology at a 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 300 nits brightness rating and 72 % colour gamut coverage. It is a non-touch, anti-glare surface suited to office and field work. The Quadro T2000 drives this native resolution for CAD and 3D viewport tasks. External displays can be added through the workstation's video outputs for multi-monitor setups.

Linux Mint pre-load with fingerprint reader

The laptop arrives with Linux Mint already configured on the 1 TB NVME boot drive, so the system is usable immediately after power-on. A fingerprint reader integrated into the chassis provides biometric login without extra drivers. The 2.5 inch SSD appears as a second block device for data storage. Proprietary NVIDIA drivers may be required for full Quadro feature support.
