LORDWORLD Zero 2W to CM3 Adapter 40pin

SKU CH-4WPP-XKDND

Adapts a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W to the CM3 SODIMM form factor for use with existing carrier boards and HATs

  • Attach Zero 2W to CM3 boards via 40pin GPIO and pogo pins
  • Onboard CM3 SODIMM connects to existing CM3 ecosystem HATs
  • USB, microSD and OTG signals routed through pogo pins
  • CSI camera interface adapted using FPC connector
  • HDMI output provided via mini HDMI adapter

Compatible Boards

This adapter lets a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W plug into a Compute Module 3 carrier board. The 40-pin GPIO header and pogo-pin contacts make the mechanical connection secure and repeatable. The first-generation Zero is not supported.

Build Integration

The module presents a standard CM3 SODIMM edge so existing CM3 HATs and baseboards work without redesign. USB, microSD, OTG, CSI, HDMI and GPIO signals are routed through the adapter using pogo pins, an FPC link, a mini-HDMI converter and a female pin header respectively.

Target Users

Makers and engineers who need CM3-form-factor performance but only have Zero 2 W stock available will benefit. Developers requiring first-generation Zero compatibility or a different compute-module footprint should look elsewhere.

Questions sur cet article

What is the first limitation that appears when the adapter runs continuously with a Pi Zero 2W attached?

The 40-pin GPIO and pogo-pin interface carries all power and signals, so sustained load is limited by the contact resistance and current rating of those connections.

How much noise, heat or extra power does the adapter itself add during all-day operation?

The board has no active components, so it generates no noise, negligible heat and draws no measurable power beyond the Pi Zero 2W it carries.

Which Raspberry Pi model must I already own for this adapter to function?

A Raspberry Pi Zero 2W is required; the first-generation Zero is not compatible.
