The silver aluminium housing mirrors the MacBook aesthetic and dissipates heat during sustained transfers. Dual USB-C male plugs lock into adjacent Thunderbolt 3 ports for a secure, wobble-free connection that survives desk bumps. HDMI drives external displays up to 4K at 30 Hz with HDCP 1.4/2.2 support. Thunderbolt 3 delivers up to 40 Gb/s data and 100 W power delivery, passing up to 87 W to the host. Two USB 3.0 ports and one USB-C data port each run at 5 Gb/s. The Thunderbolt 3 port accepts up to 100 W input, providing 87 W pass-through to charge 13-inch (61 W) and 15-inch (87 W) MacBook Pro models at full speed while all data ports remain active.
