Dual-Bay SATA RAID Enclosure for 3.5" Drives

This new grey enclosure holds two 3.5" SATA hard drives or solid-state drives and connects to a host via a single USB-C 5 Gbps link. It offers four selectable modes — RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD and NORMAL — so users can choose between striped speed, mirrored redundancy or independent volumes. An included AC adapter powers both bays independently, and 2.5" drives can be fitted with a separate mounting bracket that is not supplied.

Check Host Port and Drive Preparation

Verify that the computer provides a USB-C port capable of 5 Gbps operation; slower ports will work but reduce throughput. Confirm each SATA drive is healthy and formatted as required for the chosen RAID mode, because the hardware controller will initialise the array on first use. No mounting bracket for 2.5" drives is included, so source one beforehand if you plan to use smaller drives.

Smart Fan Cooling and Steady Power

A temperature-controlled fan adjusts its speed automatically to keep drives cool during sustained transfers, reducing acoustic output when the enclosure is idle. The external AC adapter delivers stable power to both bays, preventing voltage drops that can cause errors under heavy load. The aluminium-and-plastic chassis measures 255*195*70 mm and aids passive heat dissipation alongside the active fan.
