Ryzen AM4 platform ready
This ATX motherboard uses the AMD B550 chipset and the AM4 socket to support 3rd Gen Ryzen CPUs and future Ryzen processors with a BIOS update. It targets builders who want a mainstream platform with PCIe 4.0 graphics and storage support.
VRM heatsinks and fan headers manage thermals
Extended heatsinks cover the power delivery for stable operation under load. Multiple fan headers let the builder tune airflow for quiet daily use or higher performance when needed. The Realtek RTL8111H LAN controller adds minimal power draw.
Dual M.2 slots and six SATA ports for storage
The primary M.2 slot runs at PCIe 4.0 x4 from the CPU and accepts 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 drives. The second M.2 slot runs at PCIe 3.0 x4 from the chipset. Six SATA 6Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1, 10 round out the storage options.
