The myVolts ATX-400W is a 400W AT form factor power supply built for basic desktop systems with low energy consumption. It targets office and home users who need a straightforward unit for standard computing tasks.

Practical limits

The unit relies on manual 115/230V switching and provides no active PFC, so it draws more apparent current from the mains than a PFC-equipped supply. Efficiency is rated above 80 percent. Connectors include a 20+4 pin motherboard plug, a 4+4 pin CPU plug, two fan headers and a single 6+2 pin video card interface, limiting GPU choices to models that require only one such connector.

Capacity and headroom

Rated at 400W, the supply handles typical office workloads and integrated graphics comfortably. It runs out of headroom when a discrete graphics card demands more than the single 6+2 pin connector can deliver or when total system draw approaches the 400W ceiling. Hold-up time exceeds 10ms and the thermal sensor adjusts the 12cm fan speed automatically to keep noise low under light loads.
