This 12-module kit delivers 1.5 TB of registered DDR5 memory built for Dell Precision 7960 rack and tower workstations. Twelve 128 GB RDIMMs provide the density required for large-scale simulation, rendering and virtualisation workloads. ECC and registered signalling protect data integrity across every channel.

Capacity and headroom at 4800 MT/s CL40

The kit runs at 4800 MT/s with a CAS latency of 40 at 1.1 V, giving ample bandwidth for memory-bound applications. Four-rank 4Rx4 organisation maximises capacity per slot, so the 12-slot platform reaches 1.5 TB without populating additional risers. Workloads exceeding this capacity must move to a higher-slot-count platform.

DDR5 registered DIMM interface limits

Each 288-pin RDIMM uses the DDR5 registered interface, which buffers address and command signals to support heavy loading. The registered design adds one cycle of latency versus unbuffered modules but enables the 12-module configuration. Systems without registered-DIMM support cannot use this kit.
