Thinkmate ECC RDIMM kit

This 16 GB kit delivers two 8 GB DDR4 3200 registered DIMMs built for Thinkmate STX-NL-QE24 E3 nearline storage servers. ECC and registered buffering protect data integrity in workloads that cannot tolerate silent corruption. The modules run at 1.2 V with CL22 latency and use major OEM DRAM from Samsung, Micron or Hynix. They install in standard 288-pin slots without a heat spreader.

Capacity and headroom

Sixteen gigabytes across two ranks gives enough headroom for typical nearline storage duties such as file serving, backup staging and light virtualization. The dual-rank 1Rx8 organisation keeps signal loading low on the memory controller. Workloads that push sustained write throughput or run large in-memory databases will exhaust this capacity before the 3200 MT/s bus becomes the bottleneck.

Build integration

The registered design requires a server motherboard that supports RDIMMs and ECC; consumer desktop boards will not post with these modules. No heat spreader means the DIMMs fit tight CPU cooler clearances and dense chassis layouts. Populating two slots leaves remaining DIMM sockets free for future expansion up to the platform maximum. The kit is validated for the specified Thinkmate platform, reducing qualification time for IT teams.
