DDR4 3200 Interface Limits

The modules run at 3200 MT/s (PC4-25600) at 1.2V on a 288-pin bus. Registered signalling adds one cycle of command delay, so maximum throughput depends on the server memory controller and populated slot count. Populating all channels at this capacity may force the controller to drop below the rated data rate. Systems limited to lower DDR4 speeds will clock the kit down automatically.

Upgrade Context

This kit replaces smaller-capacity RDIMM sets or mixed-rank configurations that limit total addressable memory. The jump is worthwhile when workloads exceed the current memory ceiling and the platform qualifies 4Rx4 modules at 3200 MT/s. Servers that only support 1Rx4 or 2Rx4 ranks cannot use these DIMMs.
