This kit provides 2 TB of registered DDR4 memory across sixteen 128 GB modules, validated for Thinkmate STX-WS-QS12-12E2 and STX-WS-QE36-14E2 Windows NAS platforms. DDR4 3200 registered DIMM limits

The modules run at DDR4 3200 (PC4-25600) with CL22 latency and 1.2 V operation, using a 4Rx4 organisation on 288-pin RDIMMs. Registered buffering and ECC are required by the supported Thinkmate platforms; unbuffered or non-ECC memory will not function in these systems, and mixing ranks or speeds can prevent the server from posting.

Upgrading from smaller RDIMM sets

Replacing a partial populate of lower-density RDIMMs with this full 16-module kit maximises the memory channels on compatible Thinkmate motherboards, removing the need for future slot-by-slot additions. The jump is worth it when workloads such as virtualisation, large databases or NAS caching consistently exceed the capacity of an 8- or 12-module configuration and the platform supports the full 2 TB limit.
