ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 32GB DDR4 Kit

This 32GB kit contains two 16GB DDR4 UDIMM modules rated at 3200MHz with CL22 latency. It is built for owners of the ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 motherboard who want a matched pair that installs without configuration changes. The modules are non-ECC, unbuffered and run at the standard 1.2V.

DDR4 3200 practical limits

The JEDEC DDR4 3200 standard tops out at this data rate without manual tuning, so the kit will not exceed PC4-25600 bandwidth on its own. CL22 timing is the baseline for this speed grade, and the 2Rx8 organisation means each module presents two ranks to the memory controller. No heat spreader is fitted, so sustained heavy workloads rely on case airflow alone.

Upgrade from 16GB or slower DDR4

Replacing a single 16GB stick or a slower DDR4 pair with this kit doubles capacity and moves to the 3200MHz JEDEC ceiling. The jump is worthwhile when the board and CPU officially support 3200MHz and the workload benefits from more than 16GB, such as multitasking, virtual machines or large media projects. Systems limited to lower speeds or smaller maximum capacity will not gain the full benefit.
