This 512GB kit contains four 128GB DDR5 5600 registered DIMMs built for the Lenovo ThinkSystem SR685a V3 rack server. IT teams buying for virtualisation hosts or database nodes get ECC protection and registered signalling in a single validated package. The modules run at 1.1V with CL46 latency and use a 4Rx4 organisation.

DDR5 5600 registered ECC limits

The DDR5 5600 standard tops out at 5600 MT/s and the registered buffer adds one cycle of command latency compared with unbuffered modules. ECC corrects single-bit errors and detects double-bit errors but cannot repair them. Four ranks per DIMM increase electrical loading so the memory controller must support 4Rx4 population rules.

288-pin RDIMM build and daily fit

Each stick is a plain 288-pin RDIMM without a heat spreader so airflow in dense server chassis passes directly over the DRAM.
