Cisco UCS C220 M7 memory kit

This 64 GB kit contains four 16 GB DDR5 modules built for the Cisco UCS C220 M7 rack server. Each stick is an ECC registered RDIMM that runs at 4800 MT/s with CL40 latency. The kit targets administrators who need validated capacity for virtualisation or database workloads on that platform.

DDR5 4800 registered ECC limits

Registered DDR5 at 4800 MT/s adds a clock cycle for the register, so latency sits at CL40 and bandwidth peaks at PC5-38400. The 1.1 V operating voltage is fixed by the DDR5 standard, and the 288-pin RDIMM form factor only fits slots wired for registered memory. Unbuffered or non-ECC modules will not work in this server.

1Rx8 organisation decides fit

Each 16 GB module uses a single-rank 1Rx8 layout, giving four ranks per channel when the kit is fully populated. Cisco's memory population rules for the C220 M7 require this rank-per-channel count to reach the rated speed. Builders who need a different rank structure or higher density per DIMM must choose another part.
