96GB DDR4 3200 ECC RDIMM kit

This 12-module kit provides 96GB of DDR4 3200 registered ECC memory for Thinkmate SuperServer 740P-TR and 740P-TRT tower systems. Each 8GB module runs at 1.2V with CL22 latency and a 1Rx8 organisation. The registered design adds a buffer that reduces electrical load on the server memory controller.

Sustained load behaviour

Modules use major OEM Samsung, Micron or Hynix chips and are stress tested under load before shipping. ECC corrects single-bit errors in real time while the registered buffer maintains signal integrity across all twelve slots during continuous operation. No heat spreaders are fitted, so airflow across the 288-pin DIMMs must be managed by the server chassis.

DDR4 RDIMM practical limits

The DDR4 RDIMM standard tops out at 3200 MT/s and 1.2V for this registered configuration. Capacity per module is limited to 8GB in a single-rank 1Rx8 layout, so the twelve-slot maximum reaches 96GB. Higher densities or speeds would require a different memory generation or motherboard platform.
