96 GB capacity with registered ECC headroom

Six single-rank 1Rx8 modules provide 96 GB total capacity for virtualisation, database and compute tasks. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing full population of all channels. The kit handles sustained enterprise workloads without parity errors. Capacity limits are reached when the server's maximum supported memory per processor is exceeded.

DDR5 4800 RDIMM interface constraints

The DDR5 4800 interface sets the peak transfer rate at PC5-38400 with CL40 timing. Registered DIMMs add one clock cycle of address/command buffering, which slightly increases latency versus unbuffered modules. Bandwidth scales with the number of populated channels on the server platform. The 288-pin form factor fits only DDR5 RDIMM slots and cannot be used in UDIMM or previous-generation sockets.
