Capacity and Platform Fit

This module delivers 96GB of DDR5 server memory in a single registered DIMM. It is built for enterprise platforms that require ECC protection and registered signalling at 4800MHz. The 2Rx4 organisation and 1.1V operation target high-density slots in qualified server boards. It is not for desktop or workstation systems that accept only unbuffered memory.

Upgrade Path and Justification

The part replaces lower-capacity DDR5 RDIMMs when a workload needs more addressable memory per channel without adding modules. The jump is worthwhile when the platform supports 96GB single-rank densities and the application benefits from reduced rank count per channel. Boards limited to smaller RDIMM sizes or to unbuffered DIMMs cannot use this module.

DDR5 Interface Limits

The DDR5 4800 standard sets the electrical and timing envelope this module operates within, including a CAS latency of 40 and a 288-pin connector keyed for registered memory. Bandwidth and rank scaling are bounded by the memory controller and the qualified vendor list of the host system. Modules of this density will not function in platforms that lack explicit DDR5 RDIMM support at 4800MHz.
