This 12-module kit delivers 1.5 TB of DDR5 registered ECC memory built for the ASUS RS720-E11-RS12U dual-socket 2U server. Each 128 GB module operates at 4800 MT/s with CL40 latency and 1.1 V. The quad-rank 4Rx4 organisation targets virtualization hosts, in-memory databases and dense compute nodes that demand maximum capacity per channel.

Capacity and headroom

Twelve 128 GB RDIMMs fill every slot on the supported platform, providing 1.5 TB total addressable memory for large working sets. The 4800 MT/s rate and CL40 timing sustain throughput for multi-tenant workloads, while ECC corrects single-bit errors to maintain data integrity. The kit reaches its limit when the server’s memory-controller channel count or thermal envelope is saturated; no further expansion is possible without a platform change.

Registered DDR5 build

Modules use a 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM form factor without heat spreaders, relying on the server’s directed airflow for cooling. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, enabling the full 12-module population at 4800 MT/s. The 1.1 V operating voltage aligns with DDR5 baseline power. Installation follows the motherboard’s documented population rules; mismatched ordering will prevent POST.
