This 16GB DDR4 2666MHz ECC Registered RDIMM is built for servers, workstations and NAS systems that require registered memory with error correction. It operates at 1.2V with CL19 latency and a 2Rx8 rank configuration across 288 pins. Replaces Supermicro MEM-DR416L-HL03-ER26

This module directly replaces Supermicro part numbers MEM-DR416L-HL03-ER26, MEM-DR416L-HL06-ER26 and MEM-DR416LD-ER26 with identical specifications. The upgrade is worth it when expanding capacity in a supported server chassis or refreshing older DDR4 2133MHz or 2400MHz configurations to the faster 2666MHz standard. It will not work in standard desktop computers and cannot be mixed with unbuffered memory.

DDR4 2666MHz registered ECC limits

The DDR4 2666MHz registered ECC standard caps module speed at 2666MHz with backward compatibility down to 2133MHz and 2400MHz. Registered buffering adds one clock cycle of latency versus unbuffered memory, which is required for signal integrity in multi-module server configurations. The 288-pin form factor physically prevents installation in desktop DDR4 slots that expect unbuffered UDIMMs. Mixing registered and unbuffered modules is not supported by the memory controller.
