Included cable and software options

A 0.3M USB4 cable is included for bus-powered operation. The drive accepts user-installed M.2 2280 or 2242 NVMe modules for future upgrades. Cross-platform Mac and PC use requires OWC MacDrive software, which is sold separately. No other bundled software or accessories are provided.

Tool-free M.2 installation

The enclosure opens without tools so you can insert a 2280 or 2242 NVMe drive. Ensure the module is seated fully and the thermal pad contacts the aluminium fins. Operating temperature range is 41°F to 95°F; exceeding this can cause throttling. The drive measures 2.8 by 5.2 by 0.9 inches and weighs 9.9oz.
