What the K18 Plus is and who it suits

The Redragon K18 Plus is a compact wireless keyboard with an integrated multi-touch trackpad and three-colour backlighting. It is aimed at living-room PC users, HTPC builders and anyone controlling a smart TV, Android box or Raspberry Pi from the sofa. The aluminium chassis and rechargeable battery keep the desk free of cables. It is not for buyers who want mechanical switches, per-key RGB or a full-size layout with a numeric keypad.

How it fits into a setup

The keyboard connects through a single USB receiver stored in the base, requiring one free USB port on the host device. No driver installation is needed for basic operation on Windows, macOS, Android or Linux systems. The built-in trackpad replaces a separate mouse, saving space on a coffee table or media console. Media shortcut keys handle volume and playback directly. It does not suit setups that demand wired latency guarantees or a dedicated number pad for data entry.

Thermals noise and power draw

Passive aluminium construction means the K18 Plus generates no fan noise and stays cool during normal typing. The lithium-ion battery delivers roughly two weeks of use per charge and replenishes in about three hours via the included cable. A low-battery indicator flashes when power is running low. Because there are no active cooling components, the keyboard adds negligible heat to a confined media cabinet.
