The SSK 512 GB USB 3.2 Gen 2 portable SSD combines a USB-C connector and a USB-A 3.2 connector in one zinc-alloy body. It delivers up to 550 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write speeds for moving large files between phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, smart TVs and consoles such as PS4 and PS5. The drive arrives formatted exFAT for immediate plug-and-play use on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android devices.

Check your host ports before ordering

Full 550 MB/s read and 500 MB/s write performance requires a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port on the host device. Connecting to a USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 port limits transfer speed to 450 MB/s. The USB-C connector fits iPhone 15 and later models with USB-C; it will not work with Lightning-port iPhones or iPads. No driver or software installation is needed on any supported platform.

What the dual-connector design changes

Having both USB-C and USB-A on the same stick removes the need for separate adapters or cables when moving data between newer USB-C devices and legacy USB-A ports. The exFAT format means the 512 GB capacity — shown as roughly 476 GB on Windows because of 1024 MB versus 1000 MB counting — is instantly readable and writable across Windows, macOS, Linux and Android without reformatting.
