The Supermicro SYS-6028U-TR4T+ is a 2U rackmount server system built around two Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4 processors, each running at 2.6 GHz with 14 cores. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory and a MegaRAID 9361-8i controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Twelve 3.5-inch hot-swap drive bays accept SATA or SAS drives, and quad 10GBase-T ports provide high-speed networking.

The MegaRAID 9361-8i provides eight 12Gb/s SAS lanes with 1 GB cache and battery backup, so only eight of the twelve bays connect directly to hardware RAID. The remaining four bays need an additional HBA or expander, which is not supplied.
