The SYS-6028U-TR4T+ is a 2U rackmount system supplied with two Intel Xeon E5-2695 v4 18-core processors at 2.1 GHz and 768 GB of DDR4 ECC memory across 24 DIMM slots. Twelve hot-swap 3.5-inch bays accept SATA or SAS drives, while an LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller provides RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Quad 10GBase-T ports on an Intel X540 adapter and IPMI 2.0 with KVM-over-LAN handle networking and remote management. Dual 1000 W titanium-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant hot-swap power.

Suited for dense compute and high-capacity arrays

This server fits workloads that demand many CPU threads, large memory capacity and plentiful 3.5-inch drive slots in a 2U form factor. The installed 768 GB DDR4 and 18-core CPUs support heavy virtualisation, database or cloud tasks, while the 12-bay chassis and hardware RAID controller simplify bulk storage deployments. Organisations that require GPU acceleration, more than 12 drive bays, front-panel bezel or rack rails in the box, or a different drive form factor should evaluate other platforms.

Twelve 3.5-inch hot-swap bays with hardware RAID

The chassis provides exactly twelve 3.5-inch SATA/SAS hot-plug bays backed by the MegaRAID 9361-8i controller with 1 GB cache and battery backup. This combination determines how many spinning drives or SSDs can be installed and which RAID levels are available. If the application needs a different bay count, 2.5-inch support, or a controller with a different port count or cache size, this system will not match the requirement.
