The Synology RS826+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage system built for edge locations, remote offices and growing business environments. It ships fully assembled with four drive bays, 4GB of DDR4 ECC memory, 3.2TB of enterprise cache and 16TB of Synology Plus drives already installed. A 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core, eight-thread processor handles file services and applications.

Sustained throughput with four 1GbE ports and PCIe

Under Synology test conditions the unit delivers more than 2,000 MB/s sequential read and 1,300 MB/s sequential write, maintaining those rates across extended workloads rather than brief bursts. Four integrated 1GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for load balancing and automatic failover. A PCIe Gen3 slot accepts compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapters when network demand grows beyond the onboard interfaces.

Replaces standalone file servers

This appliance replaces a dedicated file server or external DAS when an organisation needs centralized, web-managed storage with redundant networking in a shallow 1U form factor.
