The Synology RS3626xs is a 2U rackmount network-attached storage server with twelve drive bays, a 6-core Intel Xeon D-1726 processor and 16 GB of DDR4 ECC memory. It ships fully assembled with twelve 12 TB Synology Enterprise SATA drives providing 144 TB of raw capacity and a dual-port 25 GbE SFP28 adapter installed. This configuration targets organisations that need high-throughput centralised storage, virtualisation hosting or multi-site file collaboration in a single validated appliance.

25 GbE SFP28 and 10 GbE RJ-45 networking

Network connectivity relies on two integrated 10 GbE RJ-45 ports supporting link aggregation and two 25 GbE SFP28 ports from the included adapter. Throughput is limited by the PCIe Gen 4 x8 slot bandwidth and the switch infrastructure; the vendor quotes sequential reads above 6,300 MB/s and writes above 3,700 MB/s under its own test conditions. Buyers without 25 GbE switching or compatible SFP28 transceivers will not reach the headline speeds.

Pre-populated drive bays and redundant power

The unit arrives with all twelve 3.5-inch drive bays populated and the 25 GbE adapter seated, so initial deployment only requires rack mounting, power and network cabling. Two hot-swap C13 power inlets provide supply redundancy, but the 14.5 kg chassis needs two-person handling or a lift. The two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots remain free for future cache or connectivity upgrades, though only Synology-qualified expansion cards are supported.
