The Synology RS3626xs is a 2U rackmount network-attached storage system built for businesses that need centralised file storage, virtualisation support and multi-site collaboration. It arrives fully assembled with twelve drive bays populated, 32GB of DDR4 memory installed and a 1.6TB cache layer ready for demanding workloads.
48TB Raw Capacity with 1.6TB Cache
Twelve 4TB enterprise SATA drives provide 48TB of raw capacity for large datasets, backups and surveillance archives. The 1.6TB cache, delivered as two 800GB modules, accelerates frequent read and write operations. When the installed 32GB of memory or the cache tier is exceeded, performance will fall back to the mechanical drive pool.
Dual 10GbE and PCIe Gen 4 Expansion
Two onboard 10GbE RJ-45 ports support link aggregation for bandwidth pooling and failover. Sequential throughput reaches 6,300 MB/s read and 3,700 MB/s write under vendor test conditions. Two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots allow future addition of 25GbE adapters, Fibre Channel cards or extra caching hardware, but the system ships with no further network interfaces installed.
