The Synology RS3626xs is a 2U rackmount network-attached storage server built for organisations that need high-capacity, centrally managed data storage. It ships fully assembled and tested with twelve 20 TB SATA drives delivering 240 TB of raw capacity, a 6-core Intel Xeon D-1726 processor and 16 GB of DDR4 ECC memory. The platform targets IT teams running virtualisation, surveillance, multi-site collaboration or heavy file-sharing workloads.

Dual 10GbE and PCIe Gen 4 expansion

Two integrated 10 GbE RJ-45 ports support link aggregation and failover, while two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots accept additional network adapters, Fibre Channel cards or SSD caching hardware. An out-of-band management LAN port and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports provide remote administration and local peripheral connectivity. Redundant power supplies protect uptime from a single supply failure.

Sustained sequential throughput and thermal range

Synology reports sequential performance exceeding 6,300 MB/s read and 3,700 MB/s write under its test conditions, indicating consistent throughput for large-data workloads. The chassis operates from 0 °C to 35 °C with 8 % to 80 % relative humidity, and the 3.2 TB Synology Enterprise cache (2 × 1.6 TB) helps maintain write performance during extended I/O bursts. Memory is configurable to 48 GB for heavier concurrent tasks.
