Thermals and power in normal use

The chassis operates between 0°C and 35°C with humidity up to 80% RH and draws power from dual redundant supplies rated for 100-240 VAC. Two integrated 10GbE RJ-45 ports and an out-of-band management port handle network traffic while the system idles or serves sustained workloads. Synology quotes sequential throughput above 6,300 MB/s read and 3,700 MB/s write under its test conditions.

Capacity constraint that decides fit

Twelve 3.5-inch drive bays limit total raw capacity to the number of installed drives; the included set delivers exactly 48TB and cannot be expanded internally beyond the bay count. Buyers who need more storage must add external expansion units or choose a denser chassis. The two PCIe Gen 4 x8 slots accept compatible network or caching cards but do not add drive bays.
