The Synology RS826+ is a 1U rackmount NAS built for edge locations and growing business storage environments. It runs on a 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core processor with eight threads and ships with 16GB DDR4 ECC memory. Four drive bays hold 3.5-inch SATA hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs and the unit arrives fully assembled with 24TB of Synology Plus drives and 800GB enterprise cache.

Sustained throughput with Link Aggregation

Under Synology test conditions the system delivers more than 2,000 MB/s sequential read and 1,300 MB/s sequential write performance. Four integrated 1GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for network load balancing and automatic failover during continuous operation. A PCIe Gen3 expansion slot allows compatible 10GbE or 25GbE adapters to be added when performance requirements grow beyond the onboard interfaces.

Quiet 1U operation within standard rack limits

The chassis measures 44 mm × 480 mm × 492.6 mm and weighs 6.4 kg, fitting standard rack depths while operating between 0°C and 35°C at 5 to 95% relative humidity. Power input accepts 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz without additional configuration. Web-based management and DHCP client simplify ongoing administration in normal use.
